Scholarship Winner   Sherry Guajardo


Sherry Guajardo is the winner of the 2015 Employee Scholarship. 

Sherry is employed with the Montgomery County Adult Probation Dept. 

She is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from

the Univerisity of Phoenix.  At a time when some might be considering

early retirement, our goal-oriented award recipient is focused on broadening

her career opportunity by attending college.  After successfully raising three

children, Sherry is now putting her own educational goals first and plans to

become a probation officer after obtaining her degree.  Congratulations Sherry!



Scholarship Winner   Britney Franklin


Brittney Franklin is the winner of the 2015 Employee Dependent Scholarship. 

Brittney is the daughter of Melvin and Kim Franklin.  Melvin is employed with

the Sheriff’s Dept. and Kim is employed with the District Attorney’s Office. 

Brittney will begin enrollment at Texas A&M University pursuing a

Biomedical Science Degree, followed by a Master’s Degree in Infectious Diseases,

with the ultimate goal of obtaining her PhD in Oncology from Baylor University

in search of a cure for cancer. Her passion for saving lives is the inspiration

that fuels her very high academic achievements so far, and we can expect more

good things to come from this young lady. Congratulations Brittney!
