We will be making several changes to this website in the upcoming weeks, so please check back often.
As of January 1, 2013, the 9th Judicial District Court hears criminal cases, exclusively. All other types of cases are in the process of being transferred to other courts. If you are not on a criminal docket, and believe that you have a court setting in the 9th, you should contact the Montgomery County District Clerk's Office in order to determine where your case has been assigned.
Please do not call the court to determine the transfer status of your case as we have no information with which to assist you in this matter.
The courtroom has moved, so please be aware of the new address, listed above, when coming to court. We are located on the 3rd floor of 207 West Phillips, which is commonly known as the "DA Office" building. Turn right after stepping off the elevators, and a slight left at the alcove. Follow the signs to the correct court.
Court begins promptly at 9:00 AM, or 1:30 PM, depending on your scheduled setting. Lawyers should call the Court Coordinator if they anticipate any delay in getting to court on time. The docket will be called promptly, as scheduled.
All lawyers should review the Practice Guide to the 9th District Court. (To be published soon.)
The dress code is posted at the doors and will be followed. If you are dressed improperly for your court appearance, you will be asked to leave and your case will be reset to the next available docket, which may be the next day, or the following week.
