Spay and Neuter Program

Your animal must be current on distemper/parvo and rabies vaccinations. The animal must have received vaccinations no less than 7 days prior to the spay/neuter date. Owners will be declined for surgery if the animal is not fully vaccinated prior to their scheduled surgery date.


Montgomery County has started a spay and neuter clinic to help reduce the pet overpopulation.
Did you know:
A female dog by the age of five and her offspring can produce 192 puppies, (assuming two females per litter and two litters per year). This does not include all of the offspring produced by her male puppies.
Did you know:
A female cat and her offspring can produce 12,680 cats, in five years, (assuming two litters per year and 2.8 surviving kittens per litter).
Please have the size appropriate weight of animal, the sex and if it is a dog or cat.
 Small: 0-44 pounds
 Medium: 45-75 pounds
 Large: 75-100 pounds

The cost to have your pets spayed or neutered.
 Male Dogs and Cats: $40
 Female Dogs and Cats: $60

We now offer all vaccinations for dogs and cats. All animals must be current on vaccines at least two weeks prior to surgery.

Dogs: Parvo, Distemper - $15
Cats: FVRCP - $15

Heartworm Test - $25
Feline Leukemia Test - $30
Feline Leukemia shot - $15
Micro Chip with lifetime registration - $20

This is an animal shelter, all animals that come into the shelter are susceptible to any illness or disease carried by other animals. Montgomery County is in no way responsible for any illnesses or losses.
